WIP: Action and intent (2013)
Untitled (2013)
Inspired by the recent, moody british weather and marsh landscapes.
These quirky little booklets are compilations of my own artwork as well as some additional imagery. It’s all about mixing modern science imagery and traditional imagery of nature.
This is a specific set of 6 tracing paper booklets, all completely unique, with both prints of photos, prints of artworks and original artworks drawn and mixed together.
Some typical imagery you’ll see is
- MRI scans - Anatomy - Drawings - Calligraphy brush paintings - Flora -
Various sets available on my etsy:
DSLR Photography: floral compositions (2013
Microphotography giftsets available on etsy.

Varnished petals abstract (2013)
Final version, just exploring some color combinations.
Ink illustration: Microscope pattern contrast abstract (2013)
I really need to start considering actual (not necessarily descriptive) titles for pieces.
This is just a aesthetic piece the centre circle is loosely inspired by a microscope eye piece view. I like that even though the surrounding pattern is much more complex it still serves to draw attention to the centre.
Will soon be available for sale on my etsy!
My practice concerns itself with nature and science, focusing on exploring the aesthetic relationship between forms from what we traditionally view as nature, like flora or other landscape imagery and layering that with visuals from scientific sources, such as microbiology images and MRI scans.
I use both technical means such as DSLR microphotography and interpreted means such as abstract painting, drawing and more recently installation, in hopes of creating a connecting dialogue between all forms.
Intuitive process my blog, updating on both artwork and studio life. No re-blogs, everything I post on here was created by me, including the photography and microphotography.
